2. Rainfall
§ The average rainfall for this area is 250mm to 300mm per year.
- Temperature
§ The winter season starts late in April, ending around September. The winter days are fairly mild and the evenings tend to cool down a bit sometimes below zero. June and July are the coldest months. Our summer months are from October till March.
- Vegetation
§ The farm has typical Kalahari vegetation. The sand is very soft and loose. It is of a yellow / red colour. The farm is measured at a 1,000m above sea level.
§ The area `s vegetation is mainly dominated by:

- Infrastructure
- Lodge:
- The Lodge consists of stone formation buildings with thatch roofs.
There are 7 Chalets. 4 Chalets each have 2 beds, build inn cupboards and adjoining bathrooms.
The other 3 chalets have family rooms and each have a minimum of 4 beds, build inn cupboards and bathrooms. The bathrooms have both hot and cold water.
There are 2 lodge homes, build in rock formation and with thatched roofs.
The lodge has 3 fully equipped kitchens.
The main kitchen has a large scalars area and pantry. The kitchen is adjoined to the dinning area.
There are 4 thatch roof Lapas and a large games room, which is characterized by trophies hunted on the ranch.
There are also 3 wooden chalets, each with 2 beds, with their own kitchen facility and ablution block.
There is a large swimming pool. The whole Lodge area is safely fenced in and is situated near the lion camps so that the lions can be heard all night, which gives a real Africa feeling.
c. Pool
The pool is the heart of the lodge.
d. Taxidermy
A qualified taxidermist is employed on the farm.
e. Dip and Pack
The farm also has a Dip and Pack department. All the trophies are processed in this facility for export. Taxidermy normally does this process, but on the farm the client has the benefit of the whole package.
f. Skinning shed
Once an animal is hunted, it is brought to the skinning shed where professional’s skinners are on hand to skin the animal. The skinning shed is also a resisted abattoir.
g. Coldrooms
The farm has two large walk inn cold rooms and one large freezer facility.
- Lion Camps
There are 32 Lion camps, ranging from 100m2 to 500m2 on Farm 1. The lion camps have double fences, which are 3 meters high and are electrified. There are 15 breeding rooms ranging from about 5m2 to 7m2 with sun and rain protection.
There is also a lion clinic on the site.
- Farm Houses
Ø There are 6 farmhouses, all in a very good condition. There is a well equipped office at the main house.
- Labourer houses
Ø There are 7 Labourer houses. The owner is in the process of building more houses. (The building of the houses is included in the price)
- Boma
The Animal Boma on the farm has been designed, to limit the handling of the animals. All the compartments are linked to a passage, which leads to a loading ramp.
- Elephant Boma
There is a Elephant Boma on the Farm which is made of strong cable. Once the elephants arrive at the farm, the elephants are placed in the Boma for a few days.
- Water facilities and Dams
Water is available by water trofts and semi natural pans. Water points are spread through out the farm.
- Fences
A game fence enclose the farm, 2.5 m high with 23 wires. The whole fences are electrified. The electricity is maintained on 5,000V. Energizers are big enough to pull 5,000V and maintain it on the fence line.
- Roads
The road from the entrance of the farm to the lodge is in a good condition and can be driven with a 2X4 vehicle. The farm roads are sandier and one would need a 4X4 vehicle to go around.
There are roads leading to all the waterholes and around the fences. The farm is divided into blocks by roads, this also makes game viewing easier.
There is a landing strip on the farm.
